What is the difference between Remy hair and non-Remy hair?

REMY HAIR - The cuticles of REMY hair run in the same direction, as in the natural property of a healthy person. REMY hair is used to make very high quality wigs and hair extensions. REMY hair has the most natural feel and luster. REMY hair maintains its feel and luster, is almost completely tangle-free and wears much longer than NON-REMY hair.

NON-REMY HAIR – (also known as cuticle free hair) The roots and ends of non-Remy hair are mixed, hence the cuticles run in different directions. In order to utilize this dead and fallen hair, the cuticles have to be removed first, thus chemically altering the hair. Non-Remy hair does not have the luster or silkiness of Remy hair, and is prone to tangling and matting over a period of time.

Can Bliss hair be dyed?

Because our hair is 100% virgin hair, it is very strong and can be dyed, bleached or permed. If you choose to color, bleach or perm your hair, Bliss recommends you have it done professionally. Bliss hair can be damaged beyond repair with harsh chemicals in the wrong hands just as can your own hair.

How should I care for my Bliss hair?

Here are some tips on care and maintenance that will ensure your continued enjoyment of this lovely product.

Always be gentle with your hair. You not only want to protect the hair but the weft or other foundation of the hair. Use a large toothed pick or comb. Do not force the comb through your hair. When you comb the hair, start from the bottom and work up toward the root. Keep your hair clean and conditioned. Your REMY hair is sensitive to the elements just as is your own hair and skin. Hair should be shampooed at least weekly. Use warm or cold water. Always use a conditioner after shampooing.

Combing and brushing wet hair can cause it to stretch and break. If you shampoo your hair yourself, you may find it is easier to shampoo your hair in the shower so you can hold your head back under the water and keep the hair ends going in their natural direction; thus preventing tangles. When you wash your hair, start at the top (near the scalp) and gently squeeze the hair downward. Do not wring or rub the hair in opposite directions.

When you swim, your hair may be exposed to chlorine or other chemicals, wear a swim-cap or plastic cap. Do not allow chemicals to remain in your hair for any length of time. Wash and condition your hair immediately.

Do not go to bed with wet hair. NEVER SLEEP ON LOOSE WET HAIR. As you move your head about on the pillow, the hair is sure to rub in opposite directions (like NON-REMY HAIR) and become tangled beyond repair.

To maintain a fresh, lively look with wavy or curly hair, lightly spray your hair each morning with one part conditioner and three parts water. You may also use a light hair oil, moisturizing lotion, or oil sheen. Again, be sure that they do not contain alcohol. Always apply conditioners sparingly. You do not want your hair to be gummy and weighted. Keep your hair clean.

Can Bliss hair be used for braiding?

BLISS HAIR can be used for braiding by cutting the hair off the weft.  However, the person who is doing the braiding must be familiar with braiding with cuticle hair. If BLISS HAIR is doubled in half when braiding or making closures, lace-front wigs, etc., the hair will matt and tangle beyond recognition.  It is not the same as working with NON-CUTICLE hair.  Bliss hair may work best in wigs if  injected into the wig scalp.

Can I return a purchase I made on the phone?

Upon receipt, customers may examine merchandise and return it for any reason within the first 24 hours provided merchandise is still in its original, unaltered condition. Call Bliss Hair at 800-269-8050 and let us know you will return the product. Please keep your receipts and include a copy with your return. Merchandise received on Saturday must be returned on the following Monday or non-holiday, whichever comes first.

Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for all related return shipping charges including insurance and proof of delivery.

All returned merchandise must be insured for the full amount of the requested refund and have a proof of delivery certification. Returns must be postmarked for shipment to Bliss Hair within 72 hours of receipt at the customer's address. Merchandise can only be returned if it is still in its original, unaltered condition. Bliss Hair will only issue a refund for merchandise that is received, inspected, and approved for refund. Send returns along with your receipt and the reason for return to Bliss Hair at the address on your invoice.

Can I return a purchase I made in a store?

Customers have 24 hours to return purchases that are still in their original, unaltered condition. There are no returns or exchanges on hair when the weft has been cut, needles have been inserted into the weft, or the hair has been bleached, dyed, permed or otherwise chemically altered. Save yourself a lot of grief! Please strand-test each and every weft prior to bleaching, dying or perming. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND CONSIDERATION.
